How to: Care for the Cura

Now that you have invested in your hair, make sure you care for the Cura for a long and happy tool life. Read on to see our tips!

How to care for the T3 Cura LUXE

Rear Cap

One of the most forgotten steps to care for the Cura or the Cura LUXE is cleaning the rear cap. When you turn your dryer on, whatever is in the air is sucked into the dryer. Luckily there is a rear cap filter that prevents larger particles from entering the dryer, but this means it does need to be cleaned from time to time. Gently twist the filter cap counterclockwise to release it from the air intake of the dryer body. Use a soft cloth or a small brush to remove any dust or lint that may have collected there. You can also rinse the filter cap with cold water if you need to, just make sure to dry it completely before putting it back on the dryer.

Cord

The cord is a large part of the life of your dryer and caring for the Cura or Cura LUXE! Never wrap the cord tightly around the dryer. Instead, create an accordion fold of the cord and secure it with the Velcro strip. Make sure the cord can hang or lie loosely so damage does not occur at the entry point into the dryer.

Dryer Body

If you notice that your dryer has fingerprints or other product built up on the body, just use a soft or lightly damp cloth to remove any product. Make sure your dryer is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning with water.

Storage

Once you’re finished giving yourself the perfect blowout, turn your dryer off and unplug it. Allow it to completely cool before you fold the cord and secure it, then store it in a safe, dry location like a drawer or cabinet.
